Before you embark into World of Warcraft, it is best to keep a number of key points and strategies in mind to help ensure a longer and more successful journey.

Plan Ahead

Before you go far with a character, very early on you should plan out how you want to spend your talent points. Taking a random mixture of talents will not get you very far, or fast. While you can easily find lengthy lists of information on your class in forums on the World of Warcraft (WoW) site, a good general rule is to focus on one tree and maximize any talent you start. For example, an Elemental Shaman will want to max out most of the talents in the Elemental tree, with perhaps a few points in Enhancements to max out an Intellect and Spell Crit bonus.
